Rev. Charles Burton - Pastor

Born and raised in Corry, a small town outside of Erie, Pennsylvania. He attended several seminaries and was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Nashville on July 11, 1980 at St, Jude Church in Chattanooga. He was an associate pastor in two parishes (St. Dominic in Kingsport: 1980-81 and Holy Ghost in Knoxville: 1981-87); he taught Religion, Latin and Cooking at Knoxville Catholic High School between 1981 and 1987; he was pastor of Holy Family in Seymour from 1985 until 1987; between 1987 and 1995 he was pastor of Notre Dame in Greeneville and Good Shepherd in Newport; he was also an interim pastor for St. Henry in Rogersville in 1990; from 1992 through 1995 he was also the catholic chaplain to the campus ministry at ETSU. In 1995, he returned to St. Dominic as the pastor. He is a Steelers fan, raises violets with the help of his office staff, has a 13 year old female 'pound puppy' named Sami, collects 'lions' of every description, just turned 50 and loves St. Dominic Parish and Kingsport very much.

Rev. Mr. Bob Lange - Deacon

Deacon Bob Lange was ordained by Bishop Kurtz December 1, 2001 at the cathedral in Knoxville. He completed four years of training in the Archdiocese of New Orleans prior to ordination. His wife, Janel, attended classes with him throughout formation.  Bob and Janel have been married for 32 years. They were married at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church in New Orleans, December 13, 1969. Bob and Janel have three children: Jerin, Robert, Jr., and Russell, and three grandchildren. Bob is  self-employed. He is a retired Naval Officer, having served 25 years of active duty and 8 years in the Naval Reserves.  Janel is a registered nurse.  Bob and Janel have presented World Wide Marriage Encounter weekends since 1980.
